Last Friday, Department of Health secretary Dr Brendan Murphy told the Senate inquiry into the national response to the COVID-19 pandemic that the government expects the first one million doses of Moderna's mRNA vaccine will be delivered in September. However, this week the company has confirmed manufacturing issues will slow the delivery of doses to countries outside the US.
