The simple truth is that any institution that implicitly or more likely explicitly accepts suffering and even death as an inevitable consequence of its decision-making framework obviously lacks legitimacy. Or, it should lack legitimacy. We should at least discuss it beyond technical inputs and processes, shouldn't we?
