The Australian operations of Lundbeck and Otsuka have marked World Mental Health Month by joining the annual Wellness Walk across the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
Wearing green ribbons to signify involvement in the global mental health community, employees and their family members spent Sunday morning on the six-kilometre walk from Government House.
The event is organised by One Door Mental Health with the aim of bringing a positive focus to mental illness, reducing stigma and raising funds for essential services.
According to Lundbeck Australia human resources manager, Rebecca Mathieson, “We’re proud to have taken part in the Wellness Walk every year since its inception seven years ago. Growth in our business and our long-standing support for this event means our team has increased in size each year. We see it as a public demonstration of our unwavering commitment to mental health as well as a way to help fundraise for much needed support services.
"Staying active, caring and showing support, being outdoors and having conversations are some of the ways to build mental health and the Wellness Walk ticks all those boxes!”
