PharmaDispatch is holding its first ever conference in 2018.
The one-day event, to be held at The Establishment hotel in Sydney, is scheduled for Monday 14 May.
The conference theme is - What future, the PBS?
Confirmed speakers include PBAC chair Professor Andrew Wilson, former secretary of the Department of Health and Department of Finance, Jane Halton AO PSM, Hepatitis Australia president and former senior Department of Health official Felicity McNeill PSM, industry nominated PBAC member Michelle Burke, as well as patient group representatives and a number of the pharmaceutical sector's key influencers and most senior leaders.
The purpose of the conference is to explore a range of issues critical to the future of the PBS, including funding, access, processes, supply and distribution, deeds, risk shares and rebates, the political and stakeholder environment, and the all-important the patient perspective.
The format will be mediated panel discussions, rather than set-piece presentations (....no PowerPoint), as a means to help ensure discussions are engaging and focussed. More detail on the panels and speakers will be announced next week.
Registrations will also open next week. Numbers are limited with special arrangements available for patient representative groups.
