Scientists at Public Health England say the first real-world data shows the Pfizer-BioNTech and AstraZeneca-Oxford are nearly as effective against the emerging Indian strain of COVID-19 as they were against the so-called UK 'Kent' variant. Germany says it will donate 100 million euros ($121.83 million) to COVAX along with 30 million surplus doses with J&J also committing 200 million doses to the global facility.
